|Co-owner and Executive Chef, Jason Jujnovich recognises the Dine for Life ideal as a celebration of what Divido believes to be one of the fundamental joys of life – sharing food over a long, slow meal, with friends, family and like-minded people. “To share fantastic food knowing you are also supporting a worthy charity just makes the pleasure that much greater.”
Serving uncompromised food in an intimate and cosy atmosphere, Divido is a modern Italian restaurant located in Mount Hawthorn and one of Perth’s most awarded restaurants. Diners are encouraged to be adventurous when choosing from the menu, to relax and to laugh loudly.
Originally from Perth, Jason moved to London and worked for chefs Marcus Wearing, Gordon Ramsay and Steven Terry. They taught him the critical importance of discipline and basics, building the solid foundations that he uses every day to create good food.
Jason’s love for Italian food stemmed from his time at the famed River Café. The simplicity, variety and quality produce that characterises River Cafe is evident in Jason’s cooking today.
On returning to Australia, Jason worked in Melbourne’s renowned Café Cucina, and lastly, as Head Chef of Italian restaurant Il Bacaro, where he collected several accolades, including Best Italian from the Melbourne Dine Out Awards and The Age newspaper’s Good Food Guide ‘Chef’s Hat’.
The experience from Melbourne fuelled his desire to open his own restaurant back in his home town. “I wanted to create a modern establishment that offers the diner a casual Italian eating and drinking experience in Perth. The wine list reflects our dedication to enjoying food and wine in its simplest form – pure satisfaction!”
