Dine for Life is thrilled to announce that Margaret River winery Windows Estate is on board as the Summer Dinner’s official wine supplier.

Windows Estate is a boutique, family-run winery located in Yallingup, Western Australia. The first vines were planted in 1996, but it wasn’t until 2004 that the Windows Estate were sold. Today, the winery produces an annual yield of 4,000 cases, comprising Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Merlot, Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, among others.

Much of the winery’s success is attributable to the high quality wine making processes Windows Estate is passionate about. Organic fertilisers are used on the vines, and once picked, the grapes are subjected to open fermentation, manual basket pressing and maturation in French oak barriques.

The formula appears to be working: their Sauvignon Blanc is a two-time winner at the Cowra National Wine Show. The Dine for Life team tasted it at last night’s meeting, and let us tell you, it was delicious.

Jo Davies, the Sales and Marketing Manager at Windows Estate, is excited about the chance to partner with Dine for Life a second time, as the winery supplied wine to the Autumn Dinner as well. The experience was such a positive one that Jo leaped at the chance to be involved in the project again.

“Dine for Life is such a great idea, something really different and fresh. The people involved want to give back. Windows Estate is on the same path…and that’s why we’re involved,” Jo said.

Jo will be hand picking the wines that will be paired with all of the meals, so if you are one of the diners – get ready for a treat. If you won’t be attending, but still want to taste the Windows Estate fare, you can order the wine online.
