So Much More than a Friday Night Watering Hole

There’s only one thing better than the moment the work week ends on a Friday arvo: the moment just after. You know, the one where you head off for drinks to celebrate the beginning of weekend bliss.

For most people, the choice of where to partake of said drinks is a clear one: the George. This bar cum restaurant attracts smartly dressed Perth professionals who appreciate the George’s super convenient CBD location, contemporary decor and extensive wine and beer lists.

The George loves its reputation as a popular watering hole, but is keen to show that it can offer more. Meg Coffey, Director of Events and Marketing at the George, explains that the restaurant’s involvement with the Summer Dinner is a chance to showcase this.

“When most people think of the George, Friday night is the first thing that comes to mind,” she says. “We hope that the diners will have the opportunity to see that we are also about food. We have one of the most amazing and creative chefs and her skills will definitely be on show.”

This will be the George’s second Dine for Life event. “We participated in the Autumn Dinner and relished the opportunity to be able to help give back again,” said Coffey. “With so many charities out there, Dine for Life has a point of difference; we like to think that the George offers a point of difference in dining and drinking in Perth and thus it is a natural fit to partner with them.”
